Pay Per Click Resources

While your busy waiting for the websites that you've submitted to the various search engines to be indexed, you may want to give a shot at mastering the art of PPC(pay-per-click) advertising.

Pay-per-click advertising is an online advertising model where the bidder(you) decides how much they are willing to pay for a particular keyword listed in the various pay-per-click search engines.  You are then charged whatever amount you bid every time someone clicks on your listing.  You are not guaranteed any results from these clicks.  However, these visitors are generally people who are looking for what you are offering.  You will have the best results if you have quality products/services as well as good ad copy to convert the visitor into a paying customer.

Pay-per-click advertising allows you to start generating traffic and earning income from your website immediately.  However, if not done correctly, you will most definitely lose money.

How To Earn THOU$AND$ Writing Google AdWords Part-Time!

When using pay-per-click advertising, you want to pay great attention to your ROI(return on investment).  ROI is the difference between how much you spend for the traffic you are generating and the commission you get when you make a sale. For example, in my PPC campaigns, I generally aim for a 100-200% ROI, meaning that if I spend $100 for visitors, I expect to earn $200-$300 in sales.  The ROI you want to look for depends somewhat on what you are selling and whether it is a one time or residual commission.  It is vital to your success that you keep on top of your ROI by consistently reviewing your results, tweaking your add text, and adjusting your bidding strategy accordingly.

In addition to the great pay-per-click resources listed on this page, many of the search engine resources on our search engine marketing and optimization page also cover pay-per-click advertising.

The two biggest PPC Search Engines are Google Adwords and Overture with quite a few other wannabes attempting to follow in their footsteps.
